There’s a new generation of tile makers in Iran. One of them, Roka Ceram, recently chose to establish a new plant in the Yazd area (the country’s most important ceramic-making district) using fully Made in SACMItechnology.
From the raw material preparation department to the handling and sorting lines, all the solutions making up this complete plant have been supplied by SACMI. The core of the line consists of the MMC111 modular mill, the ATM110 spray dryer and the two PH3590 presses, a perfect combination of machines for manufacturing both floor and wall tiles in sizes ranging from30×30 to 90×90 cm. Downstream from the presses, SACMI has configured a new 170-metre FMS kiln.
Tested and started up at the end of 2018, the line is now producing 10,000 m2 a day, mostly in the 60×60 and 80×80 sizes. Note also that the line is ready to implement a doubling of capacity in the future. Roka also decided to invest in the very best SACMI decoration technology by purchasing two glazing lines equipped with two DHD1208 SACMI Intesa digital decoration units mounting Dimatix heads. All the handling and sorting solutions were provided by the Sima and Nuova Fima brands, SACMI Group specialists in the automation field.
